St Regis – The Function Behind the Form

We are delighted to welcome everyone back to our Dinner Meeting series with an incredible presentation from David Fields of Magnusson Klemencic Associates about the 2021 SEAOI Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Jurors' Favorite WInner, St. Regis!

David will share a detailed presentation of the unique engineering challenges of Chicago’s newest supertall building, the St Regis Chicago.  Highlighted topics will include wind tunnel optimization, geometric irregularities, construction sequencing, and differential shortening.  The recently opened St Regis Chicago stands 100 stories above the Chicago River.
