Ask the structure: Overview of NDE and monitoring techniques for condition assessment of existing structures
We are delighted to partner once again with Arab American Association of Engineers and Architects (AAAEA) Illinois Chapter to offer this webinar.
Successful solutions are developed from a better understanding of the problems. Effective assessment of internal conditions and performance monitoring of a structure or component is vital to developing appropriate maintenance plans and repair strategies. This presentation provides a brief overview of nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and monitoring techniques that can aid in condition assessment and performance evaluation of existing structures. Case studies demonstrating different challenges where NDE and monitoring methods informed targeted and effective recommendations will be presented.
- Demonstrate different applications of NDE and instrumentation techniques for existing structures
- Understand the process of selection of appropriate test methods and equipment based on project objectives
- Understand the role of NDE and instrumentation methods in evaluating the performance of a structure or component
